Let's Talk Hair: Terrific Styles for TRANSITIONERS

Greetings Chicas/Chicos..I pray all is well with everyone..
I was inspired to post this based on a request by a wonderful natural that is transitioning on Facebook who was looking for some awesome styles to rock throughout her transition..

Just to give a brief definition of transitioning..Transitioning is when you have decided to stop relaxing or perming or using excessive heat styling to allow the natural texture of your hair to grow. During the transition phase, you will have two textures that you have to creatively blend to look as though you have one consistent texture throughout your hair. Whew!! I did it for 8 months only to cut my hair down to 2 inches..I couldn't take it anymore, so snip snip snip I went. It was increasingly frustrating, for me, to have to be so delicate while detangling and not encouraging massive shedding at my line of demarcation (the point where your natural hair meets your relaxed, permed or straightened ends). But, for all of you Lovelies who have decided that you did not want to do a BC (Big Chop), here are some wonderful styles that you can rock that will make your 'Transition' fun and exciting...Hope you enjoy!

Transition Styles:

The Braid out..this is a very popular look amongst transitioners. If you want your ends to curl, please use flex rods or curl rods for your ends.

Bantu Knots...to the Bantu Knot Out (see below)

Bantu Knot Out: An absolutely beautiful style to rock as a transitioner

Twist n Curl (the setup) or you can use flexrods (my favorite)

Twist n Curl results: This was one of my staple 'go to' styles while I was transitioning..Ahhhh nostalgia, the many nights I slept with those flexrods..

Bushy Twist N Curl: You can make your twist n curls bushier by pulling your curls apart a few times..Love this look

Two Strand Twists: Wonderful protective style that does not put pressure on the hair, which promotes growth

Two Strand Twist out: Another one of my favorite styles. To create curled ends, just use flexrods or curl rods for the ends

Pin Curls are excellent for transitioners..If your hair is at a longer length, you can actually use your fingers and roll your hair under and up and pin with duck bill clip or plastic pin. For shorter tresses, you can use flexrods or curl rods to create this look.

Princess Laia Buns with flat twisted front: I loved this style while I was transitioning, compliments of Nikki at curlynikki.com..Such a fun and playful style

Ahhh, the updos you can do while transitioning.. Make it fun and creative

More updo's

Neat and pulled back

Braided fro hawk from an old twist out, braid out, bantu knot out or pin curl

Any old hairstyle can make a fabulous sloppy ponytail or pulled back style..Remember, keep it fun and creative!!

Thanks for tuning in, guys..I hope you enjoyed

Have a happy transitioning day!

The TRUTH About ECOSTYLER..The BENEFITS of FLAXSEED GEL..VIDEO!!

Hola Chicas/Chicos..I pray all is well with everyone.

Ok, so I just found out from my mom's best friend, who's also natural, that Ecostyler Gel has a carcinogen (cancer causing agent) in it called Triethanolamine (TEA). I know, I know, I know...I have done many a wash n go's using the infamous EcoStyler..I'm so disappointed, but on the other hand, happy, because I strive to keep it O'Natural for my family, for myself and for you beautiful people.

So, in actuality, this was a good thing to find out this info..thank you, Betty!!! Because now I can get my do it yourself self up and make my own natural healthy hair gel.
Seeking a natural journey is more than hair..that's the bonus..Seeking a healthier alternative to things that can cause harm to our internal health, whether food, medicine or hair and skin products, will hopefully be our main goal on a natural journey...Hair can come and go. If you can inspire one person to seek a healthier alternative then bravo to you..at 77, my grandmother decided to go natural and seek healthier EATING alternatives for better health. Her hair is the icing on the cake..Educate yourself, share the knowledge, inspire someone..Beautiful Naturals

So, let me just breeze over what was used in this video

The Items Used:
  • 2 Cups of Water
  • 1/4 cup of Flaxseeds
  • Essential Oils of your choice ( I used Rosemary, Tea Tree, Lavender and Lemongrass Oils)
  • Tongs
  • Containers
  • Unused Stocking Sock (or you can use a strainer)
  • My Natty Oil ( for after sheen)

My personal review:

I absolutely LOVE it..I believe I have officially slept on the flaxseed gel..what took me so long, I have not a clue, but everything's on time in time.. It made my hair shiny and silky. It REALLY defined my twists and I still have the option to make it bushy..And the hold is off the chars..And NO CRUNCHY, MUNCHY Hair!! No FLAKES..How much better can it get??

The Benefits of Flaxseed Gel:
  • Inexpensive..A bag of flaxseed usually cost around $4-$6 per bag
  • Leaves hair soft, shiny and moisturized
  • beneficial to the health of the hair
  • All Natural and you can gauge what goes in it.
  • Can reuse the Flaxseeds
  • Great for laying down those edges
  • Promotes hair growth
  • Replenishes dry brittle hair and dry scalp because Flaxseeds are rich in omega 3
Hope you enjoyed..Be sure to keep refrigerated. A batch should stay fresh for 2 weeks.

I've Got A Story To Tell: Meet Gorgeous LULADEY KINFE-MICHAEL

Hola Chicas/Chicos..I pray all is well with everyone

Well, this is a treat today..Meet the gorgeous Luladey Kinfe-Michael. A conscious and exceptionally spirited international beauty who has an awesome story to tell, so stay tuned..

1. What inspired you to go natural?

So why I went natural...to be completely transparent babe...it was so much more than hair to me. I got to a point where any amount of artificiality started to make me itch. literally! Be it in foods, products or people even. This included MYSELF! Here I was grieving over the illness of a parent, Thank God, God spared his life, but my fathers illness was very traumatizing for me. The smoke screen that I knew had existed was now lifted. My failures, my progress and lack there of, my passions that I wasn't fulfilling, were now directly in my face and I couldn't ignore it any longer. It was scary, it was depressing, it was a wonderful bolt of inspiration all at the same time. After a series of events, over about 1-2 yr period, I found myself without a job, car gone, at war with family daily...to say it was a huge financial n emotional crisis would be putting it lightly. But I'm working through it all...I am def a work in progress but I have been relearning everything lately. My birthday is Dec 31st, and like many others I used the new year as a new start. I made the conscious decision to release myself of my past. Past "friends" past events, past pain, past behaviors and yes past hair=) I didn't want to get relaxers anymore so why was I holding onto the dead ends then? I took my kinky twists out, washed my hair then looked in the mirror and just started chopping away. As more hair fell, the more empowered I felt. The more I giggled at the baby afro looking back at me in the mirror. Then shock set in...oh my goodness...what am I going to do now??? I never dealt with my kinky b4. I've been killing my hair since I was in high school and forcing it to do what I wanted, how can the roles reverse now???
But I started to search youtube videos, facebook and the rest of the internet and then met you =) Blogs like yours and other fb page give women like me inspiration and a sense of support even if its via technology. My hair being cut was not the beginning of my journey to natural, nor will it be my end. I had to take responsibility of my life, and my body. It was time to grow up n admit that I had maturing n growing to do. If you know that you are damaging your body your mind your spirit by the things you consciously do, yet continue to do so...what does that speak about my character? My people? My family? My upbringing? My history? My future? I could walk around like a proud African all I want but the reality was I was tainted by westernized thinking and behavior. I could keep judging others n their faults or I could fix my own, and God knows I am a mess! But honey I promise you I'm getting it together. I am still thankful for my misery and my joy. I WILL be an example because one day someone WILL be lifted by my story. We both know without a test there lives no TEST-imony. Someone will assume I couldn't possibly understand their strife and trials, "shes such a pretty girl who knows no struggle"...then I will sit down and share my story of being broke, feeling broken, the pain I felt from family, my mother who taught me forgiveness is key to feeling joy again. (that one I'm still working on) I will discuss accountability. Blame can only hold ground but so long. We are responsible for our actions, the company we keep, the opportunities we seize and the one we allow to pass us by. Hold up, I only mean that in figurative sense..GOD's plan is so much bigger than ours. We think we do everything, if i work this hard I will get this promotion then buy this house n marry this man....well Nique, I am 31 (but looking good, like 19=) single, living with my mother n no longer making any apologies about where I am at in life! Just confessing that to you made it real for me. I will no longer replay pasts injustices in my head, or say I shoulda coulda woulda. I will however, do my best everyday to fulfill my purpose God has been trying to reveal to me, I have be ignoring Him. That is the most important part of transitioning to natural...
One cannot know where "their natural" state stands if they don't ask the one who creating them to begin with. My advice to others would be start with self inspection. Who are you really? Not what u say you do, you like, but who are you really...what have your actions described about you. How do your family and loved ones feel in your presence. The fruits of your work show what? Are you truly honoring God in what you do? If God is not honored, neither are you, your family, your people...if your only out for self, how natural is that? By nature we were created to Love. Period. Everything comes under that umbrella. Full-stop. No force is greater. Everything good comes from it. Everything bad comes from lack of it. Since God is Love, I am Love and that is all I have to give.

2. How long have you been a beautiful natural?

My last relaxer was in May 2010. I never have been a big fan of hair salons one, because it costs way too much money and two, I can do a better job of hooking my hair up by myself! I always came home and did something to it anyways. I recently chopped my hair off myself, about a month ago, give or take. Maybe two.

3. In regards to natural hair, do you feel as though the same stigmas of hair type exist, for example, do you hear people use the term 'good hair' or 'good grade of hair' in regards to certain hair textures?

I hear the term "good hair" now more than ever. More so with women, in or out my generation. I have received more compliments on my hair n look more than ever. Maybe I'm coming into my destined "image", maybe I'm a chameleon and just gifted in knowing how to adapt, or maybe people just place too much judgment on image, and assume a more "earthy n natural" state defines one character. Maybe they're all correct=) I had been getting relaxers since I was in junior high, so I really had no idea what my actual hair looked like. It was beyond time...

4. Do you feel as though most black men are supportive to natural hair? How about other nationalities?

Black men being supportive? Hmmm...well I know that many (say) our women should rest assured in what they were given than what they can buy BUT the women that many go for are sporting sewn on wigs, tracks, relaxers, press n curls...anything but an un-manipulated state of hair. I think many black men are not natural themselves so how can they judge what is natural on their counterparts? To me, natural means the opposite of artificial. Simple but so much deeper than u think. Natural would be, how God intended. Since HE IS the CREATOR OF ALL, any chemical or man made manipulation of his creation would water down its natural state. When I first cut my hair, I would blow dry then press it. Yes I didn't have a relaxer but was my hair really being honored under all that heat n torture. If somebody pulled n pressed on you, wouldn't u straighten up too? But to be completely honest, I was scared to see what my hair would look like, as much as I was excited too. I didn't know what the proper products would be to make sure my hair stayed moisturized and stress free Yes your hair can be stressed. Just like our muscles in our bodies tighten up, so can our hair.

5. How do you maintain such beautiful coils?

Maintenance...well thanks to YOU I'm more knowledgeable than ever on products that work for MY hair. Thank you btw=) I have literally fallen in love 'Hello Hydration' by herbal essence. I love the smell and how it feeds my hair. It's true to its word/label. I think I'm just realizing that 'co-wash' means using conditioner as a shampoo. So I recently purchased the 'Avalon Organics' Lavender shampoo n I LOVE the smell as well. I'm an emotional person who connects and embraces her senses on a regular basis. I want something that not only is 'good' for me but smells good or in-turn makes me feel good. Smell can be as healing as touch you know. I use Shea Moisture as deep treatment, I've tried it as a leave in as well. Last week I took the advice of one of your videos n picked up the Shea Moisture Smoothie too. Actually those pics were after the first time I used the smoothie stuff. After washing my hair with Avalon Organics Lavender shampoo, I basted and rinsed with the Hello Hydration. After wards I spritzed with this leave-in spray my girl hooked me up with, smells like tea n its by carol's daughter. She knows how expensive the transition to natural has been, and since I've been out of work she has been nothing but a jewel to me. To moisturize I have found that I LOOOOOOOOVE the consistency, the smell, the effect of your O'NATURAL NATTY BUTTER!!! I mean its yummy, its soft, its shine w/o the greasy n its home made=WITH LOVE so it gets no better! Only problem, I need more mamma. What do I have to do be on your team and get a regular supply sent to me like I was your favorite person after the flk under your roof?? daily maintenance. I have mixed together some oils as well that I also moisturize with. It was an old bottle of 'seven oil' that I filled with extra virgin olive oil, rosemary and tea tree oil. I'm in trial and error phase...I re-twist every night for the most part and twist out with your butter or the oils now that I ran out.

6. Do you have any words of wisdom to pass on to others striving for a natural lifestyle?

Your presence has helped so much, not just your product but your words of wisdom. You not only know but you share. That is big. So many do better for them SELF but don't get others better. Like Will Smith said on an interview, if your not helping to make someone else better, then your really wasting your time. You Nique are a queen. You know better so you've decided to do better. You are doing better for yourself, your family and you are now educating as many people as possible. You are a JEWEL in my eyes. A woman who obviously is a giver and a nurturer by nature. I appreciate you. Thank you for all that u do. I ♥ U.The over all pic...natural is your real authentic self. Lets get back to that. Side note...I've met mad dreads and what I will call "fruit n berry" girls...these are the ones that will sleep with your man, cheat on their partners, cuss randomly just because they know how, behave very selfishly but then want to go to the local poetry clubs, wear oils, smoke weed and listen to reggae and call themselves righteous. Natural is not a look. It is a state of mind that probably takes a life time to conquer. Going back to your roots...making it back to God. Now that is your natural state.=) Bottom line, surround yourself with positive people on your journey.

So What's The Rave About: DEAD SEA SALT

Hola Chicas/Chicos...I pray all is well with everyone.

So, what's the rave about Dead Sea Salt??  Dead Sea Salt is salt extracted from the Dead Sea. The Dead Sea is extremely popular with tourists due to its therapeutic effects. The water of the Dead Sea is unique because it has 10 times as much salt as sea water. This, amazingly, allows anyone to float on the Dead Sea due to its density.Various cultures and groups of people have visited the Dead Sea for therapy, dating back to the time of the ancient Egyptians, utilizing the salt in various unguents and skin creams, as well as soaps, just as it is used today. It is fact that salt which is gathered from The Dead Sea contains over 80 minerals which are essential for your skin's health. By feeding your skin these important minerals you improve it's natural look as well as help maintain optimal skin hydration at all times. These minerals include Magnesium, Potassium, Bromine, Calcium Chloride and Sodium, all vital to a youthful and healthy looking skin. All these minerals are present in Dead Sea salt at concentration levels ten times higher than any other ocean or sea on the planet! That is why salt scrubs which are made specifically using bath salts made with Dead Sea minerals are so popular and effective. It is one of the main ingredients that is in my O'Natural Natty Body Scrub along with some wonderful exotic butters...coming soon.

So, below I have listed some of the wonderful benefits of this therapeutic goody.

DEAD SEA SALT..The SKIN Edition:
  • Exfoliates and cleanses the skin better than soaps or cleaners.
  • Removes dull dead skin cells to reveal a younger skin layer.
  • Thoroughly cleanses the pores to allow the skin to breathe easier
  • Stimulates blood circulation and removes daily toxins from your skin.
  • Strengthens and firms skin tissue
  • Research has demonstrated that skin disorders such as acne and psoriasis are relieved by regular soaking in water with added Dead Sea salt.
  • Even people with skin conditions like, eczema and psoriasis can benefit from the Dead Sea salt, with a marked reduction in skin inflammation and roughness. The mineral magnesium, found in Dead Sea salt helps to keep the skin well hydrated and thereby, reduces dryness and inflammation, caused by these skin conditions.

DEAD SEA SALT..The Internal Edition:
  • It helps in stabilizing abnormal heartbeats which is contrary to the delusion that it causes high blood pressure. In fact, sea salt in conjunction with water and in the right proportion, is essential for the regulation of blood pressure. It searches for the harmful sodium deposits in the body and completely eliminates them. It also curbs high blood pressure.
  • Before sleeping, if taken with warm water, it helps a person get a deeper and longer sleep, which is restful and refreshing. It also helps clear up catarrh and sinus and bronchial congestion.
  • It helps maintain the electrolytes in the body which are essential for processing information and communication of the brain cells.
  • It avoids water retention in the body, which is again contrary to another misconception that salt causes water retention. It has also been reported to dissolve kidney stones in the body.
  • It wards off acidity by eliminating unwanted sodium deposits in the body.
  • It helps control drool while sleeping, which usually happens if the body is deprived of the right type of salt and water. This can further lead to a double chin, as the saliva glands have to function harder to lubricate the mouth. Hence, sea salt mixed with drinking water helps prevent this condition.
  • Sea salt helps in food absorption from the intestinal tract and maintains the level of sugar in the blood, hence reducing the risk of diabetes.
  • It plays an important role in curing the lungs of mucus plugs and sticky phlegm, especially during asthma and cystic fibrosis.
  • As sea salt supplies essential nutrients to the muscles, it helps in preventing muscle cramps.
  • It acts as a strong natural antihistamine by keeping the body at the right pH. This helps by maintaining the body's acidic level and preventing different health problems and degenerative diseases.
So, as you can see, there are some awesome benefits to this natural goodness. Ask about it the next time you visit a day spa..It's a wonderful therapeutic benefit, your skin will thank you for it!!

Have A Happy Salty Day!

Let's Talk Hair: The Benefits of DEEP CONDITIONING

Hola Chicas/Chicos..I pray all is well with everyone.

So, let's talk hair health with DEEP CONDITIONING. Deep Conditioning offers the hair loads of benefits.Along with that, Deep Conditioning your hair will provide the much needed nutrients to the hair follicle and allow the hair to shine and appear as healthy as possible as it has been hydrated and conditioned through the treatments which have been used in the hair.If your hair is damaged or feeling extremely dry, you can deep condition more often until it gets back to a healthier condition. Now, there is no need to run out and buy an expensive hair conditioner. Generally speaking, any conditioner can be used as a deep conditioner although there many conditioners marketed for the purpose of deep conditioning the hair. You can use any conditioner that it rich, thick, and emollient that you enjoy using as a rinse-out, or you can create your own homemade Deep Conditioner. The great thing about using a deep hair conditioner is that it gets the chance to be as effective as possible by being left on the hair longer and hopefully allowing heat to help it penetrate better.

Before I get into the wonderful benefits of Deep Conditioning, let me first cover who benefits most from Deep Conditioning.

Who Should Consider Deep Conditioning On A Regular Basis: (Weekly)

  • Those who use styling products often. Styling products can cause buildup. Buildup prevents hair from looking it's best and can feel dull and lifeless. Due to product buildup, a clarifying cleanse is needed. This can strip the moisture from the hair. Deep Conditioning replenishes the hair with moisture. Products that contain harsh ingredients, such as harmful alcohols (not plant based), sulfates, synthetic fragrance robs the hair of its moisture, thereby causing the hair to feel dry.
  • Individuals who use heat on a regular basis.
  • Individuals who use chemical dyes, relaxers or other harsh treatments. Because these elements break down the molecular structure of the hair by first stripping the hair of all of its moisture, Deep Conditioning is of extreme importance.
  • Those who apply micro braids and hair weaves. Deep Conditioning should be administered before the application of any of these styles, because these styles can leave the hair brittle and dry.
  • Individuals who use shampoos that contain sulfates. Sulfates rob the hair of moisture..PERIOD. By applying a deep conditioning treatment, moisture is restored to the hair.

Benefits of DEEP CONDITIONING

  • Deep Conditioning the hair provides a preventative measure to ensure that there is as little damage to the hair as possible through the style.
  • Deep conditioning for 15-30 and using heat will definitely help with the healthiness of your hair.
  • Using a deep conditioner on a regular basis can help your hair bounce back from dryness and damage.
  • You hair's elasticity will improve because of the emollients and other moisturizing ingredients in the conditioner.
  • Other ingredients in the conditioner will help fill holes of damage that lead to poor porosity.

How To Deep Condition:
  • Make sure you detangle your hair with a wide tooth comb before deep conditioning.
  • Pin your hair up or let it hang if short and add a plastic cap to keep your hair in place.
  • Sit under a warm hooded dryer for 30 minutes is one option.
  • You can also just leave the conditioner on for about 30 minutes with the plastic cap and let your own body heat work its magic on your conditioner.
  • Wet a face cloth and heat it up in the microwave for about 15-30 seconds, then apply to the top of your hair. Put on your plastic cap and leave on for 15 minutes.
  • A quick and effective way of deep conditioning quickly is to put your plastic cap on while in the shower, then turn up the shower to the hottest you can stand to cause steam. Then bathe, scrub or whatever while the steam helps the conditioner penetrate your hair. In the time you finish, your hair will have deep conditioned nicely. I used to do this ALL the time!!

Have I convinced you yet that using a deep hair conditioner is vital to your hair's health? I hope that I have.

Have A Happy Healthy Day!

Let's Talk Ayurvedic for HEALTHY HAIR

Greetings Ladies and Gents..I pray all is well with everyone.
So here's a topic that I'm striving to become more versed in...Ayurvedic living. I'm in the process, as we speak, of growing an organic vegetable and herb garden to aid in my journey of Ayurvedic living (I'm open for gardening tips..please).

Now, my hair thrives most when I practice an Ayurvedic regimen where I incorporate plant based ingredients into my haircare. Ayurvedic products include natural herbs and oils that help to thicken and strengthen the hair, stop excessive shedding and breakage.  So, below, I am going to list some wonderful items that can aid each of us in our journey of O'Natural for healthy hair and scalp.

Ayurveda 101..Healthy Ingredients for Healthy Hair
  • Scalp Massage: I can't stress enough the benefit of massaging the scalp for healthy hair growth. Scalp massages help stimulate the scalp which in turn promote healthy hair growth. An additional ingredient to add to your scalp massages is Peppermint Oil, ..Just add a few drops to your favorite carrier oil and massage away. Scalp can be done as much as daily or a minimum of 4-5 times per week. Be sure to use, only, the balls of your fingertips and never using your fingernails, which creates tiny cuts on the scalp.
  • Henna: Henna is a wonderful plant based powder that carries the benefit of strengthening, conditioning and, in some cases, naturally dyeing the hair.
  • Bhringaraj: Nourishes hair and scalp w/essential nutrients necessary for healthy hair growth. It treats hair loss, premature graying and acts as a conditioner. I purchase this oil from my local Indian grocer.
  • Brahmi: Promotes a nice healthy sheen, strengthens hair, eliminates issues with dandruff, and also nourishes your hair and scalp. The Ramtirth brand, which has Coconut Oil as it's base vs Mineral Oil. Ramtirth Brahmi oil is infused with a proprietary blend of 22 Indian herbs. Can be purchased from your local Indian grocer.
  • Vatika Oil: Vatika Oil is comprised of Coconut Oil and infused with traditional Ayurvedic Herbs [Brahmi, Neem & Amla just to name a few] Coconut Oil strengthens hair at the roots, promotes hair growth, and actually penetrates the shaft to repair areas of the hair damaged from protein loss. When purchasing, be sure to check the ingredients on the back to ensure that it is coconut oil and not mineral oil as the base.
  • Neem Oil + Tea Tree Treatment: Perfect for those with psoriasis, and issues with dandruff. Neem Oil is packed full of antiviral, antifungal, antiseptic, and antibacterial properties, therefore making it the perfect herbal solution for curing scalp ailments. These two ingredients are wonderful to add to the bentonite clay treatment as an Ayurvedic clarifying shampoo.
  • Neem: Is an antibacterial powerhouse, it helps correct scalp issues, as well as promote healthy hair growth.
  • Apple Cider Vinegar Rinses: Adding 3 TSP to 1 Cup of distilled for final rinses is a wonderful way to impart shine and moisturize the hair. Raw, Unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar acts as an anti fungal, anti bacterial and anti bacterial. It also helps to remove mineral buildup from your hair due to hard water.
  • Shikakai: Acts as a natural cleanser, and mild conditioner, whilst promoting hair growth. (This can be a tad bit drying, so be sure to follow up with a deep condition after use)
  • Aloe Vera Gel: Promotes hair growth, balance PH level, heal scalp, imparts sheen, light conditioning properties, nourishes hair follicles, and scalp
  • Hibiscus Petal Powder: Conditions hair, promotes healthy hair growth, prevents hair loss, thickens hair.
  • Bentonite Clay:  This clay works wonders for cleansing the scalp and producing healthy shiny hair. When combined with Aloe Vera Gel and Apple Cider Vinegar, it makes a wonderful natural clarifying shampoo.
  • Pure Rhassoul Clay (not to be confused with the cheap Red Morrocan Clay): A Very fine clay whose soapy properties reduce dryness, flakiness, degreases the scalp, and strengthens hair without stripping out natural oils, and also increases its volume.

How To Mix Your Ayurvedic Ingredients:
  • Mixing Rhassoul for healthy hair and skin:
-Place Rhassoul into bowl and pour warm water over it, letting it then sit for 5 to 10 minutes.
-Then mix this into a muddy paste.
-Then apply to your hair, best to be done in sections working from back to front.
-Depending upon hair type let it sit for 5 to 20 minutes
dry hair -  5 to 8 minutes
normal hair -  5 to 15 minutes
oily hair -  10 to 20 minutes
-Rinse out well.
For application on the face and the rest of the body prepare as above and rub into the skin like you would a soap or exfoliant in thick layers. Rinse well.
For added decadence and benefit you can add your favorite essential oils or the pleasant Aroma of Floral waters (eg: rose water) during the preparation of the paste.
Afterwards your skin will have an exquisite smooth satiny feel that can rarely be matched by other treatments.
Always store your clay in a cool dark place or in a sealed container in the fridge. Prepared paste can be stored in the fridge for a week.
